 অনিয়মিতভাবে মাসোহারা পরিচালনা, কাউন্সিল দুর্নীতির অভিযোগে জর্জরিত  স্বাস্থ্য বিভাগ রাজ্য মেডিকেল কাউন্সিলের বিরুদ্ধে দুর্নীতির একাধিক অভিযোগ দায়ের করেছে, যারা ডাক্তারদের 'দোষ' হিসেবে চিহ্নিত করে শাস্তি দিতে ব্যস্ত।  রাজ্য মেডিকেল কাউন্সিল সম্প্রতি আরজি ট্যাক্স আন্দোলনের অগ্রভাগে থাকা ডাক্তারদের অভিযুক্ত করেছে এবং তাদের উত্তর চেয়েছে।  তবে অভিযোগ করা হয়েছে যে একই কাউন্সিল জানুয়ারি থেকে তার তিন সদস্যের জন্য অবৈধভাবে ৫০,০০০ টাকা মাসোহারা চালু করেছে।
